Since its founding in 1909, the Ajinomoto Group has aspired to help people “Eat Well, Live Well.” And in the more than 100 years that followed, we have developed diverse businesses based on “AminoScience”—the Ajinomoto Group’s unique expertise in amino acids. Our founding aspiration has been carried forward as ASV (Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value), our approach to solving social issues through business while co-creating both social value and economic value.

 

Currently, the Ajinomoto Group’s external environment is undergoing change at a dizzying pace. To achieve sustainable growth even in this type of environment, speed and the ability to take action are crucial. With a healthy sense of urgency, we will standardize and implement what we call the “High-Speed Development System,” enabling us to anticipate customer needs, develop multiple solutions quickly, and continually make improvements based on feedback. With this system we will strengthen our technology, quality, and productivity, while also deepening trust with our customers, and driving dramatic growth, particularly in the four growth areas of Healthcare, Food & Wellness, ICT, and Green.

To do that, as CEO I am determined to lead the Ajinomoto Group toward achieving our Vision, ensuring that we Speed Up × Scale Up—together, as one team, to increase our corporate value.

 

My management slogan is “Think Well, Do Well!” What I mean by “well” is that I want us to think substantively, conduct business with objectives that are honest, make money the right way, and grow properly. I am dedicated to meeting the expectations and earning the trust of our shareholders and all other stakeholders, and I look forward to continued support.
